The Logic of Emotions and our Cultural Life

This research was published in Tehran in the winter of 2020. Its publication was done by the Iranian Association for Cultural Studies and Communication, which is considered one of the scientific (non-governmental) circles of cultural studies of Tehran University. This research was published in the magazine number 17 of this association. I was the scientific manager of the project in this research, which included 4 interviews with Iranian thinkers, 5 notes from top humanities researchers, and a book introduction. I managed this research in a way to respond to these questions: How should culture, which is a phenomenological subject, be studied? Or what is the scientific method of studying culture as a macro subject in humanities? One of the central assumptions of this study is that there are common prejudices in Iranian culture, which we feel and live. However, to date, there is no scientific method to discover and judge them. The message of this research to Iranian society is that in order for the Iranian culture to reach its maturity, it must be able to reach the judgment stage of its prejudices. This stage can only be achieved with the formation of the public arena of dialogue. The thinkers that I had the honor of interviewing in this research are: Dr. Bijan Abdul Karimi, Dr. Hassan Mohaddesi, Dr. Morteza Katbi, and Dr. Seyed Javad Miri.
